Ray B. Lewis was born on January 11th, 1956, in Lawrence, MS. He was the second child born to the union of OT and Ora B Lewis. He accepted Christ in the early 90’s and was baptized at Mount Calvary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Ivy.
He received his education at through Stockton Unified Schools where he attended Nightingale Elementary, ******, and graduated from Franklin High School in 0000. Ray was best known for his accomplishments in high school as a “Yell” Captain for the Cheer Team.
Ray began his career with K-Mart Retail Stores in the early 70’s and later in the early 80’s became a dedicated employee with the San Joaquin County Hospital in Janitorial Services.
Following retirement Ray dedicated his life to serving in ministry, where he served on the Usher Board at Mount Calvary Baptist Church. In addition, Ray in love cared for his mother, siblings, and a host of nieces and nephews. Ray was the most patient and caring person who enjoyed studying God’s word, listening to music, watching game shows, and supporting his family.
Ray is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Jethro and Gene Lewis.
He is survived by his son in love Brandon Trahan, daughters in love Avi Lewis & Vernice Dunlap; brother, Stanley; Sisters, Rachel Roe, Rhonda Lewis, Lavichia Jones (Gene), and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
